Drop In Health and Wellness
Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is dedicated to improving the wellbeing of our clients, particularly vulnerable populations such as Toronto's homeless population. Over the years, CONC has pioneered innovative recreational programming for our community, bringing together youth, volunteers, athletes and instructors to engage clients in the meaningful development of their health and awareness of issues that affect their wellbeing.
HEALTH ASSESSMENT TOOL
Through the financial support of the Ontario Ministry of Health ‘Communities In Action Fund,’ adult and youth drop-in clients are able to access self-assessment tools that will help raise awareness of their health and wellbeing.

'HEALTH & WELLNESS IN RECREATION' PROGRAM


The Health and Wellness in Recreation program offered many valuable experiences and opportunities to improve the mental, physical and spiritual health of vulnerable populations. These opportunities included: strategies to help cope with stress, time management, exercise tips, good nutrition and relaxation techniques, core sports and aerobic programming, as well as many recreational trips to try different activities and sports.
