The L.O.F.T. LOFT Café
The LOFT Cafe is a program that engages newcomers at the LOFT in the practice of healthy eating and cooking by providing opportunities for youth to prepare authentic dishes for the community every Saturday afternoon at the Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (854 Bloor St West).
Previously, the Salcedo family was preparing awesome Columbian food every week at LOFT Cafe, however, we are proud to say that they have moved on and been able to set up their own independent restaurant called "CARNIVAL" located at 1201 St. Clair Avenue West (just west of Dufferin). The food is still fantastic, and we wish them all the best. For more information please contact Luis at 647 430 3765.
Currently, LOFT Cafe features authentic Mexican Food, which will be served every Saturday afternoon from 12pm till 6pm at 854 Bloor St West for the summer 2009.
Please join us and support our volunteers who are working hard to develop the skills integral to their survival through this social enterprise at the LOFT.
There is also live painting taking place every Saturday, so its an interesting Cafe concept to say the least!
