LMV Legends
Yung Rem, Emcee
Born and raised in Haiti, Windy Remy aka Yung Rem has come along way to the LOFT to bring his experiences struggling to be free and help his family survive. His lyrics reflect this struggle as he is passionate about helping youth new to the country and youth losing themselves in this society to see the deeper meaning of life, and realize the life lessons in their struggle.

Most Hated aka MH
The Most Hated represents Toronto hip hop to the fullest, blending his lyrical wizadry with political science, keeping the youth informed about how to understand the streets with a global perspective. Hailing from Angola, MH continues to push his revolutionary dialectic through the wire in pursuit of his goal to empower youth, at the LOFT and beyond, to recognize the reality of their struggle and mobilize to effect positive change.

Mimi, Vocalist
Merissa Faustin aka Mimi is young vocalist from the community who believes in the power of music to speak out against many things that affect our society today. She has been working at the LOFT for over a year now to share her powerful voice and inspire youth to be vocal through more than just the microphone.

Obie, Mixer and Vocalist
Mohanza Kelly aka Obie is a street savvy R&B singer that writes about injustice, respect, love, beating the odds and building your own future. A native of Jamaica, now based in Toronto, the 23-year-old has a perspective that gives his hip-hop-tinged soul an edge, a realness, with light at the end of the tunnel. Obie helps to facilitate the production of positive music at the LOFT, mentoring youth to take a chance and make music that uplifts the community at large.

Josiah, Vocalist
Michael Bennet aka Josiah is a reggae artist that is mentoring vocalists and song-writers at the LOFT. Blessing the track One Family, Josiah is dedicated to developing the talents of young artists and has been doing so through his volunteer work at the LOFT Sound Studio.

Yusdel Amaro, Emcee
Yusdel Amaro is an enigmatic musician that is collaborating with the LOFT to mentor the next generation of multi-faceted musicians. While he brings the heat on the drums, Jusdel also spits fire in Spanish. Born of Cuban descent, Jusdel is helping to change the face of Latin rap in Canada by promoting positive messages in his music.

Scandalis
Scanadlis aka Tony Ranks is an emcee that has been collaborating with the LOFT since the program first took off. Known for his work with Empire Records, Scandalis has made a name for himself in Toronto by maintaining impetuous flow with serious lyricism. He continues to work with the LOFT to help young emcees build their identity and make good music.
