The Nook is now pleased to be offering free tutoring.  We will be providing tutoring during regular Nook programming, with a rotating schedule of staff and children.  Each child enrolled in tutoring will participate in a 1 hour session at least once a month.  Tutors will be thoroughly trained and will incorporate Ontario curriculum guidelines.  These tutoring sessions will take place in a quiet office located in the Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (854 Bloor St. W).  Tutors will work one-on-one with Nook kids to improve their academic skills, with a focus on reading, writing and math.  Nook staff will also document every child's progress throughout the year and will give caregivers regular reports on their development.
