Our core programs and services provide opportunities for children, youth and adults from our diverse local communities to come together, share skills, build resources and move forward.
- For children and parents, visit The Nook Children’s Program
- For youth, visit LOFT YCSEI
- For community members of all ages in the Bloorcourt Community, visit The Drop-In and Food Access Program
- For community members of all ages in the Junction Triangle/Pelham Park, visit George Chuvalo Community Centre
- For homeless adults, visit Shelters and Housing on Lansdowne and Shelter on Bloor
Volunteer opportunities are available all year round throughout our agency- the roles are as diverse as the volunteers themselves! Volunteers provide key support to community members in all of our programs and services, working directly with vulnerable people or working behind the scenes to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
***Please note that we are at capacity for volunteers with our Shelter Program, Nook Children’s Program and LOFT YCSEI and can no longer accept volunteer requests for Summer 2017***
If you are an existing program participant, please speak to program staff about volunteer opportunities. Staff contact information can be found here.
If you are not an existing program participant, and you have some time to spare to contribute to one of Toronto’s most vibrant local communities, please complete the form below to start the process. Volunteers are generally asked to meet with staff, attend an interview by phone or in person, and go through a thorough screening process, including a criminal reference check where appropriate.
We thank you for your interest in volunteering with Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre, and will contact you with next steps as opportunities become available.
