Individual Donors

Build the community you want to live in.

When you donate to Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre, you provide a safe bed for a neighbour, a healthy meal for a community member, arts and literacy programs for children, social opportunities for seniors, employment support for low-income adults, and entrepreneurship opportunities for youth.

Here are some examples of how your donation will be used:

$25 will buy art supplies, personal hygiene products, laundry detergent, bedding, children’s books, or supplies for seniors’ recreational programming

$100 will buy protein for a lunch in our Drop-in, which serves up to 200 people a day. Your gift will add meat, nuts, or tofu to a nutritious, hearty meal for our vulnerable community members.

$300 will allow us to plan an outing with our Drop-in Senior’s Group, including TTC fare and a healthy lunch.

Please call us to discuss your giving wishes and needs.

Giving Options

1)  Make a one-time donation. All donations above $10 are tax deductible, and every contribution helps us to serve our community.

2)  Make a monthly donation. By committing to support CONC as a monthly donor, you are helping us to plan consistent, effective, and ongoing services and supports. An on-going monthly gift is one of the most powerful ways you can help us achieve big impact in our communities.

3) Gifts in-kind. We will gladly accept in-kind donations! Please contact us to discuss and make arrangements for donations larger than a few bags or small items. For suggestions, view or list of in-kind donations and gifts of service.

4) Celebrate by giving back. Looking for a way to give back while you celebrate a milestone, like a wedding, baby shower or birthday? Organize your next special event as a fundraiser. Ask party goers to put their present money towards both buying a personal gift and donating to a CONC program of your choice. As an added bonus, you can help us share in the fun by sending us pics from your event to be featured on our website & social media as community member of the month!

CONC gave me a sense of community and support to achieve my education goals. The staffs were are always more than happy to assist me with my homework as English is not my first language and provided bus tokens for me to go school. With their support I graduated from college in August 2015 with a diploma in Project Administration and will now be pursuing a higher education at the University of Toronto.

Transitional Housing

Here you can come in and get healthy salads, hearty sandwiches and great coffee. But to review it on those merits alone would be an injustice to what it’s actually doing for the neighborhood. What is unique about LOFT Kitchen is that it operates as a non-profit cafe with a special mission. All proceeds earned here go to help sustain and support social programing

I must say that the Nook is amazing. I thought it might have been too much change for Kai to start after school care on top of adjustment to Grade 1 and our house situation, but going to the Nook is actually helping him for those and it was a good surprise to me!
